On Me Being Me

Just The Facts

Basically, I'm an enthusiast, connoisseur, and devotee of the gospel of GLOW. I'm a believer and a baddie, a fly girl who walks by faith, a woman who is bad, because she believes. I'm an inspirational influencer, a keynote speaker, and a Board Certified Coach who helps women “live their best lives” by galvanizing their GLOW and leveraging their light.

I'm a graduate of one of the top liberal arts colleges in the country, Wellesley College, where I double majored in English & Political Science, and graduated with Senior Thesis Honors in Political Science. As the recipient of an American Political Science Association Ralph Bunche Fellowship I studied Race in American Politics and Political Analysis at the University of Virginia.

I earned my Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law, and I began my legal career as Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx where I prosecuted crimes on behalf of the People of the State of New York. I'm also a former Executive Agency Counsel with the New York City Civilian Complaint Review Board where I prosecuted NYPD officers accused of misconduct. Yeah...I'm something like a nerd (shrug)

On a Lighter Note…

I While I’m a lawyer by trade, I’m a creative at heart. I love historical fiction and watching historical dramas, period pieces and sweeping epics like The Tudors, The Last Kingdom, and A Lion In Winter (BTW…I’m looking forward to the day that our epic stories are properly cast and accurately told.)

I’m a total homebody. Give me a good book, a cup of tea, a comfortable bed (and some snacks) and I’m not moving. I’m a high functioning introvert…I need some me time. But I can also put on a show. I used to live in New York City where I performed stand-up comedy at New York Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, and Gotham Comedy Club.

I’ve read all five Game of Thrones books and I like my pizza with thick crust. I change my hair styles like some people change their shoes, and I’m an only child…well…my momma’s only child (lol)

But For Real…For Real!

I The most important thing about me (and you) is that I’m a daughter of The Most High. I am called to be a light in the world and to help other women reclaim their radiance. I’ve experienced both the hills and the valleys of life. I’ve managed to achieve some really BIG accomplishments, but I’ve also made some really BIG mistakes. I’m incredibly flawed, AND undeniably favored. Like many women, I’ve faced challenges. I’ve felt like a failure. I’ve second guessed myself. I’ve been unsure about my path. I’ve lacked confidence. And at times, I’ve wanted to quit.

But I’m so glad I didn’t and (and neither should you). I kept going and eventually cracked the code to living in the light. It’s simple really…all you gotta do is GLOW (GRATITUDE. LOVE. OPTIMISM. WISDOM)! My mission is to help you establish and incorporate new habits, higher thoughts, and healthy behaviors into every area of your daily life so that you can bring forth your brilliance and live the life you deserve.
